I frowned, mildly annoyed. I didnt want to jeopardize their lives by wishing to die in a corner in this facility. And he needed to protect her, and he couldn't do that if I went missing. Why did he like me? If he didn't, he could just focus on protecting Sonia, and not me. I sighed. "Very well...I'll come. But dont worry him unnecessarily about me, alright?"

"alright... the most you need to do is tell him... he will saty here until you do die, or take you somewhere okay, and will wait paitently for you..." Sonia said, smiling more now, and then sighed a bit "are you angry with me?"

"...." i nodded and watched as the last of everyone finally got out as i locked the door ".... you first..." i said, guestureing at her to start climbing as i picked up Sonia and set her on my back so she could rest and enjoy the moment

I had only been outside once before. I had been dying, but the very feeling of true freedom was the strength that kept me from dying as soon as I touched the grime and green and colored things of the area. This place had a similar effect on me.

His hand holding mine felt like long needles being passed through my hand. But I liked him near me, so I held his hand as well, amplifying my pain yet my desire for contentment was stronger than my desire to avoid the pain. I kept my face from displaying said pain.

"we should reach it by midnight tonight... which, judging from the angle of the shadow from that tree, id say is about 2, maybe 3 hours max... the one person i met before getting caught again told me of a place that will help us and take care of us, and that if we get jobs, they will pay for your medical visit to diagnose the problem..." i said, my voice quiet and reserved now
