"....." seeing that Jane wouldnt make any more comments, i focused more on my work, nto hearing what the girl ihad feelings for had just said, having just finished the base of the program that would make everything easy to use

".... Done..." i said tiredly, having ignored the need to sleep in order to finish the prgram, and yawned, setting my computer to the side as i waundered tiredly to the couch and laid down, knowing that i still had to wait a little while for the scanner i had requested would come, and closed my eyes and fell asleep, my mind devoid of thoughts other than sleep and the girls wellbeing

I looked up from what I had been translating- since I wasnt going to wait around doing nothing- feeling tired as well, rubbing my eyes. I grabbed a blanket and threw it onto him weakly, starting to feel the toll of time as I absentmindedly smoothed it out.

"...." i woke up just enough to notice she did it, and tiredly held open the blanket for her "come on, its time to go to bed...." i said with a yawn, my eyes still closed

"ill make you whatever you want in the morning...." i said quietly, nuzzling her shoulder slightly as i wrapped the blanket around her as well, sifting so that she would have more space and some of the pillow "and i finished the program so if you want, we can get that working in the morning when i get the scanner..."

"yeah...." i said with a yawn, tightening my arm around her lightly, and fell asleep quickly, glad she would at least let me do this with her and smiled to myself in my sleep

I felt his grip on me tighten, but didnt mind, since I knew he wouldn't try anything in my sleep. Hell, he already was. And soon I was too.

".... morning...." i said, looking at her from the kitchen, taking a sip of my drink "sleepin beauty... woke up on time, breakfast is about done..." i said with a slight smile

"i told you i wouldnt do anything while you were asleep... i also said i would make you breakfast for coming to bed..." i said, pulling a chair our for her with my foot, setting a jug of coffee and a jug of milk on the table near the middle, and began brining the food out as Jane yawned, slumped over as she came down the hall to the table and took another seat, surprised at the amoutn of foods i had made in a short amount of time ".... wow..." she mumbled, leaning her head on the table, absorbing the warmth

"...." i nodded and set the food down in front of them, and took my share of food and sighed "did you finish gettting each character translated?"

after finishing my fair share of food i spoke ".... im going to need a set of translation guides for it, as well as a guide to how the letters and words flow togeather... for example, it needs to be a compleate sentance, like "she chased the dog", not "dog chased the she"... basically i need to understand the language enough that i can tell my program what each thing means, and how it fits with the other characters... once i have those up and running, ill just have to leave the program running and we can relax...." i said, watching the lights flicker and come on as i said so, and i chuckled lightly "with the TV i asked for, with restrictions of course, but we can rest after work is done... Jane, i know how good you are at cooking and makeing culinary wonders, so if you would please feed us during the rest of our stay, that would be very helpful... all those years of you coming after me, and me actually attempting your food... your food could rival my... fathers before he... passed away..." i said, forcing the words out of my mouth with a grimace, before i sighed "sorry... im going to... need a minute..." i smiled apologetically, but stood up and went to the front room to start hooking up the TV for them in order to distract myself

".... wow... if i wasnt so shocked and sad that he actually talked about it without crying and running off, id be estactic about that compliment..." jane murmered quietly before looking over at the other girl at the table "finish your food then you can distract him... god knows you fools didnt eat any dinner last night..."

"...Im just gonna...do what he asked for now..." I said, standing up and sitting at the couch, setting up sentence structures and miscellaneous characters. "...You gonna be ok?" I asked, not looking up.

"..... ill have to... its been 17 years since they died yesterday... i have to man up and get over it and relize they wont come back... but it still hurts..." i said quietly, tears running down my face as i reached behind the table to connect the wires properly

I sighed, feeling bad for him and annoyed at myself that a tiny, screwed up part of my brain was calling him a wuss. "Well...for now, try to focus on your job, or else you'll end up nicking yourself. Just for now..."

"It could be stress. Or cabin fever. Or both. But that kind of stuff would affect anyone. Though theyre more subtle about it at times...but I guess that depends the level of shock that affected the person in question."
