I whistled, peeking into random parts of the ship that werent locked, when I suddenly heard someone singing. I assumed it was Dane, and he was singing in the language that my dad had taught me- and according to the Captain, was now a dead language. I focused on the words, realizing that it was a long song. I started following the beautiful baritone voice, hoping to run into Dane, and maybe even Warning.

on my way, i too paused and heard a soft singing from the other side of the ship, and made my way over there, my ears attuned and listening carefully while attempting to decipher the language

After a little bit of running around, I found the room from where the singing came from. Dane's room had a name plate on it. It seemed the higher rank got name plates. It had His name first, with Warnings as well. The singing suddenly stopped, being replaced with a very soft, soprano voice. It was an answer to the verses Dane had sung. It was so sweet, until I started wondering- if Dane couldnt hear, why was she letting the sweet melody go to waste? Nonetheless, I enjoyed the song, lingering there in the hall.

"not by the lyrics, but the tune is very fimiliar.... my foster parents would hum it to me when i was little and struggling to fall asleep...."

"....... i dont remember much, but i do remember his hair was like that some times, but other times when he came to my birthdays that it was longer each time, and then he suddenly disappeared...."

"..." I knocked very softly, partially hoping it went unnoticed, but the door vanished immediately- well, half did. I stood dumfounded for a moment before leaning to look into the room, greeted by the face of the young girl everyone had merely spoken of so far. She barely looked older than me, but as shy as advertised. She only peered enough to show her eyes and white bangs.

I stood tongue-tied before managing a meek greeting. "Um...Hi. Im Rei. Its nice to finally meet you..."

She didnt move or answer, but merely looked at me with curious eyes.

An awkward silence filled the area, as I couldnt figure what to say, and she said nothing either. She suddenly receded back into the room, and the door disappeared entirely, and she came back, clinging to Dane. "What do you pair want?" He asked stiffly.

"we just heard the singing...." i said, signing it as clearly as i could, remembering he was deaf, and grunted, giving up and typed it up quickly saying "we heard your singing and came to see what it was... and Rei wanted to meet Warning....."

He nodded. "She has a lovely voice, doesnt she?" It was obvious he was trying to hide a proud, playful smile, when he referred to her. "I miss hearing it, but memory fills in well enough." He tousled her hair a bit, and Warning beamed. I couldnt keep from giggling a bit, it was cute.

"she does, your a lucky guy...." i typed simply, and yawned tiredly, thinking about forgoing training to sleep, and i paused, looking around and sniffed the air, and held a hand up, gestureing to continue as i quietyly walked over to one of the walls and put me ear to it

"Whats wrong?" Dane asked. I shrugged, shaking my head. Despite the fact we had the same abilities, I hadnt been able to single out sounds or smells. It all melded together.

"........ we either have an ifestation on the ship, or something is watching us...." i typed quietly, holding a hand to my lips as i spoke "Nothings wrong, just makein sure that we dont have a leak..." i said, and frunted, rapping my knuckle against various points in the wall, and after waiting for just a moment, and typed "and i think its #1.... im going to tell the captain..."

"sounded like metal on metal.... so im thinkin the ship was bugged or somethin with machines...." i said quietly, and began tapping out a rythem on my arm, and it began to echo slightly and i sighed "his scan wont show it.... thats the other reason i want you all to take a ship leave to the beach, so i can clear the ship of crap like this...." i said simply, and smiling lightly under my jacket "besides, i have a small pet project im working on, one you havent seen yet either"
