"Do they? I hope it's not simply desserts, as much as I would love that," I said, disappointed I had found the plates but if there was food in there might as well set the table while he picked what he wanted.

"I think we should have your favorite meal, since mine consists if the white gelatin and that is a dessert. Most of my other favorite dishes are sweets, so I'll pick dessert and you pick dinner."

He muttered to himself after a moment, disappearing into the fridge again to gather the requisite materials. after a solid minute or two of preparation, he sighed to himself, shaking his head "I forgot. White sauce or Red sauce?" he asked, leaning over to scratch the dogs ears, who had been harassing him for attention for a couple of minutes now

"How much of a difference does it make?" I asked, offering the dog my hand to sniff so I could pet him and distract him for a bit.

"Red is tomato based. White is more of an Italian flavor or something. I could make both and see if you like one or the other with a small batch?" He asked, glancing back at her to see what she was doing before smiling slightly and going back to what he was doing.

"Soda?" I echoed, walking over to the fridge, noting several brightly colored cans. I picked four. "Cocacola, sprite, fanta, Dr pepper. I guess we can sample these first."

I looked at the side of one of the cans. "Well it says serving size is one can, so I guess just pick which one you wanna try first. We're not gonna be going anywhere for a while."

"We both know that one serving wont satisfy me." He responded simply, reaching over and picking one off the table to drink while he cooked. After taking a minute to figure out how to open he took a sip and paused. "Interesting."
